Everywhere I go I follow my dream

I Am

I am determined & realistic
I wonder how the world would be without music
I hear car hoops in my head
I see shooting stars across the sky
I want to be one of the best film producers
I am Jerald C.

I pretend to be a baseball
I feel lonely in this world
I touch the sky with my dreams
I worry globe warming
I cry when I remember about my grandmother
I am Jerald C.

I try to be the best at what I do best
I hope to be successful in life
I am Jerald C.

true meaning of success

Wake up at 6 in the morning
Hear the birds mourning
Living a fairytale
but on the success rail
Poverty is my motivation
To one day run this nation
Get educated is my everyday mission
Living heathly with no addiction
Drugs don’t catch my eyes
So I don’t consider myself a regular teenager.

Documentary “Bullied”

What was your reaction to the film, “Bullied”?

My reaction to this film is I felt guilty after watching it because I didn’t realize how homosexual felt when people messed with them and I used to be messing with one of my old classmates from last year. This film is much related to what was happening in the school I attended last year. The Vice-Principals didn’t take any action to help the student, who was being picked on for almost the whole school year. I started to realize that student felt hard and I decide to stop picking on him. It was unaccepted how the Vice-Principals didn’t take any action but the great thing was I took action for my own self.

Do Jamie Nabozny’s experiences remind you of moments in your life? Do you see bullying happening at FLC?

Jamie Nabozny’s experiences reminds me of a student from last year who was picked on, as I stated in my first answer right above. I been in FLC for 3 months and I hadn’t seen no bullying according, which shows a safe environment to study.

In Algebra 1, we collected data, which informed us that a significant percentage of our classmates think bullying is a problem at FLC. What do you see as potential solutions to bullying at our school?

I don’t have an answer to this question because I don’t see any bullying happening in FLC. But if it was happening, a potential solution to bullying would be for the Principals to change their attitude not to accept bullying.

Every man has to fight for himself

Dont think of anyone else but yourself

There are no father,no brothers, no friends

Everyone lives and dies for himself alone

Six Passage

1.”Above all else, have faith. Drive out despair, and you will keep death away from yourselves”(Page.1)

This sentence made me a bit emotional because it reminds me of my grandmother. She was suffering from cancer for a long time but she didnt know. When she found out she had cancer, she was fighting not to die but at the end she lose hope and didnt keep death far way.

2.”The march began again. The dead stayed in the yard under the show, like guards assassinated, without burial. No one had said the prayer for the dead over them. Sons abandoned their fathers’ remains without a tear.”(Page.87)

This passage is very emotional because sons had to abandoned their fathers without a tear. I cant even imagine saying goodbye to my father without a tear. I would prefer myself dying rather then my father cause his been my mother and father at the same time. I been with him through hard and good times. The person Im now in day its thanks to my father. Who thought me whats right and wrong.

3.”The days were like nights and the nights left the dregs of their darkness in our souls”(Page.94)

This passage describe the hard time they were going through and how they felt about it. Im assuming they didnt have food to eat or water to drink. This make me feel appreciate of what I have and thankful for how Im living at the moment.

4.”Here, everyman has to fight for himself and not think of anybody else.. there are no father,no brothers, no friends….”(Page.105)

This passage is very emotional because everyman had to fight for himself. I cant picture myself going through this. I bet it was hard watching their father, brothers and friends dying. But its life everyone would do all they can to survive.

5.”Physically, he was as awkward as a clown. He made people smile, with his waiflike timidity face..” (Page.1)

A person like this you should have in your everyday live. Someone who could make you smile when your upset and going through hard time. I have a few friends who are like this, I would never trade them for nothing.

6.He had become like a child,weak,timid,vulneable.(Page.100)

When a person in their 30s became weak, timid, and vulneable they are not far from death. It hard to say it but its reality . I feel sorry for his son cause his the only one he has left and he would have to start a new life if his father dies.

How to make American Teens Smarter!

The main problem with American Teens’ reading habits according to this articles is that we may be reading more words today than ever before, but the content is less challenging. I agree with the arguments made in this article because people don’t really understand the nature of reading. People feel like reading is a still, that its transferable, so once you’re a good reader, you can read anything that’s put in front of you.
